Torcas Crianza is a project in collaboration with Juan Magaña Wines of the Cordillera. Only made ??in the best vintages and their production varies from 4,000 to 7,000 bottles depending on the vintage.It has been prepared with a final assembly of 37% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Syrah and 10% Malbec, from a farm located in the municipality of La Sarda (Castejón, Navarra), with an average age of 32 years. Make a vintage staggered ranging from early September with Syrah, to the second half of September with Cabernet Sauvignon.
Harvested by hand in boxes. The juice of each variety fermented and macerated with their skins in open oak barrels of 225 liters, very slowly over 20 to 40 days. Next, each separately wine is decanted into other barrels used for resting and remove the lees thick natural sedimentation. They started their parenting separately in new French oak barrels from coopers Cadus, and Sylvain Mercier. From this time the wines selected for Torcas were assembled and oak aging continued to play a total of 20 months until bottling.
Tasting Notes: Cherry color with cherry trim, with tear knockdown. Clean and bright. The nose appear red fruits, roasted coffee, spices and vanilla. The palate has a nice fresh attack, powerful, fleshy, integrated tannins, elegant and round.
