El Terrerazo. In developing the variety Bobal, with Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Grenache, harvested separately. The harvest, in early October, is done in small boxes when Bobal clusters are loose and ripe grapes to naturally express how was the vintage. The vinification of each plot is made separately with cold maceration at 8°C for several hours, before moving on to the selection table, light stemming and crushing. Fermentation in 80 hl oak and stainless steel 100 HL, with temperature control between 28°C -30°C for 10 to 12 days with daily pumping depending on variety, with maceration. 3 weeks malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and tanks, with removed. Aged for 8 months in 225 liter barrels of French and American oak second or third use. Alcohol: 14.5% vol. Tasting notes: cherry color with violet tones, high layer, thin and slightly tinted tear. On the nose, intense roasted flavors initial, ripe black fruit with hints of wild flowers late, light spicy. The palate is aggressive, balsamic touches, a bit exaggerated acidity, bitter citrus fine touches. Long, black fruit aftertaste of roasted aftertaste.
The Wine Advocate, qualified this wine with 90 points Parker. "The red wine Mestizaje is the entry-level blend of Bobal with some 10% Syrah, 6% Garnacha, 5% Merlot and a 2% pinch of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo; the grapes comes from head-pruned, dry-farmed vines planted mostly in the early 1990s. Each variety is fermented separately and then aged for one year in oak vats and barrels. A very tasty and drinkable Mediterranean red. 152,000 bottles produced."
