Pruno "I’ve loved this wine (...)" - R. Parker, Jr.

  • Food Pairing: Ideal to take with meats, red meat, pork, and especially roasted and grilled. Serving Temperature: Serve between 16ºC and 17ºC.

  • Pruno is a red wine made from varieties Tinto Fina 90% and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, from 60 hectares of vineyards in Onesimus Quintanilla (Valladolid), planted on sandy soil, clay and quartz. Hand harvested in small boxes, to get to the winery the grapes are destemmed, not squeezed. Traditional vinification with alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels for three years.  Alcohol: 14% vol. Tasting Notes: purple. Very expressive, with aromas of toffee, graphite, toast, wild blueberry and blackberry liqueur Nariza. All followed by a full body, full of flavor and layers of very sharp and elegant fruit, impeccable balance, and long, pure finish. 

  • Robert Parker calified the vintage 2015 with 90 points Parker, and says: "iThe 2015 Pruno is a young, fruit-driven and straightforward blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from young and older vines in their 63-hectare organically-farmed estate, located around the winery by the river Duero. 2015 was a very warm year and the wine is ripe without excess, juicy and tasty, with a minty and chocolate touch perhaps from the one year it spent in oak barrels. No less than 395,000 bottles and 2,015 magnums in 2015."
