Vintage hand, between the first and third week of October. After the selection of clusters in the field, the grapes are transported to the winery where every variety made ??the maceration separately in stainless steel tanks for 2 days. Alcoholic fermentation lasted 4 days, after which the wine spent 17 more days in contact with the skins, getting constant pumping for a perfect extraction of color and polyphenols. After bleeding and removal of coarse lees , the wine remained with fine lees in tank continuous stirring. Aged in 225 liter American oak (80 % ) and French ( 20%). Aged for 14 months in oak and 12 months in bottle. Alcohol: 13.9 % vol . Tasting notes: Cherry Color, comes clean and bright. In intense nose to start out the ripe fruit ( peach and cassis) , black fruit flavors accompanied by fine spice and toasted from the barrel , a lot of depth . The palate is silky and friendly , has great volume and fruitiness. Fruit and oak are seamlessly blended with long fresh finish . Easy to drink . In retronasal the hints of fruit and mineral notes.

  • The Wine Advocate at tasting this wine with Luis Gutierrez awarded it 91 points Parker. "The 2011 Finca la Emperatriz Crianza has a forward personality, quite aromatic and open, with showy notes of smoky bacon that transported me to the Northern Rhône for a minute. It is, of course, mostly Tempranillo with 3% Garnacha and 2% white Viura from different plots in the estate fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured for 14 months in American (80%) and French oak barrels. This should be readily available as 172,800 bottles were produced. Very good value for the quality. ".
