Pancrudo is a monovarietal red wine that is obtained from Garnacha of old vineyards, planted in a glass, facing North and about 650 meters above sea level, in the Alto Najerilla area, very close to the well-known Riojan town of Badarán. The Garnacha is grown on ferrous clay soils, near the mountain with extreme continental climate, cold and limit for the cultivation of Garnacha, which in this wine offers its most unique, delicate and subtle expression in this area of Rioja, historically known for their claret. The Pancrudo wine performs malolactic fermentation in a concrete egg and in French oak barrels, with a toasted specially chosen so as not to interfere with the primary character of the wine. 65% of the production of this wine is maintained for 12 months in new French oak barrels and 35% in an oval concrete deposit. In the wine tasting complex, with notes of wet earth, flowers, strawberries and wild mushrooms, a medium-bodied palate and marked tannins, pointed, ending in a long and placid outcome.
