Ochoa Rosé wine from Navarra

  • Food pairing: Ochoa Rosado de Lagrima is ideal to accompany the Italian cuisine, such as pasta and risotto. With oriental cuisine, in sweet and sour dishes and traditional cuisine: vegetables from the garden, white meat, rice and grilled.

  • Temperature: 8ºC-10ºC

  • Ochoa Rosado de Lagrima is made from grape varieties 50% Grenache and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, from vineyards of the D.O. Navarra. After the harvest, to obtain must employ the traditional system where the wort remains bleeding for 12 hours Cabernet Sauvignon grape and 6 hours Grenache grape, in contact with the solid. Then move on to stainless steel tanks, where fermented in temperature controlled at 18°C. Alcohol: 13% vol. Tasting Notes: Bright raspberry pink with light purple tones that highlight his youth. The nose is shy when you open the bottle, which is waking up to give an incredible complexity: red fruits, notes of fresh grapes and a mineral edge reminiscent of the earth is made. The palate is long and complex, highlights the sweetness of Grenache combined with the power of the Cabernet Sauvignon tannins.

  • More about Bodegas Ochoa is a family business with a long tradition, dating back to the Middle Ages, with the winegrower Ochoa Ayanz, from Olite (Navarra). The 143 hectares of vineyards that have at present are based on 80 ha, were planted by Adrian Ochoa, in the early twentieth century in La Plana de Olite. They grow eight different indigenous varieties as the Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha, Viura and Moscatel de Grano Menudo; and foreign, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Today the winery is run by the fifth and sixth generation of the family, headed by Javier Ochoa, his wife Marivi, and and daughters Adriana Beatriz in Technical and Management in the Department of Marketing.
