El Novio Perfecto or Perfect Boyfriend is a semi-sweet white wine made from the grape varieties of 50% Moscatel and 50% Viura vineyards of Valencia. The wine has been made by the Mediterranean Wine Company - CVVM - name of the company formed between Bruno Murciano and David Sampedro with the Valsangiacomo family of Valencia, long tradition winemakers in Chiva (Valencia).
Alcohol: 10% vol. Tasting Notes: A semi-sweet white. Aromas of stone fruit and candied oranges. The palate is soft and fruity, with bright acidity by youth. Highly aromatic, smooth and balanced. It drinks well thanks to its low alcohol. Ideal for tasting +9ºC and cold. . . in good company.
The Wine Advocate taste this wine and rated it with 89 points Parker to milleisme 2014. "The 2014 El Novio Perfecto is a Mediterranean version of a Riesling Kabinett and you'll love it; think about a regular white wine and you might be disappointed. In this second vintage, it's a blend of 50% Moscatel from the north of Alicante (but within the Valencia area limits) and the rest Macabeo from Utiel -Requena (again from Valencia). The Moscatel is fermented pretty early and fermented dry to keep the citric notes with the added complexity of the sea. The Macabeo is harvested later to come to a blend that is 10% alcohol and contains some 60 grams of residual sugar. The volume of the Macabeo and the aromas of the Moscatel combine a lightness and balance of sugar, acidity and alcohol to make a white that is like the Mosel flowing into the Mediterranean sea. Enjoy with Asian food, as an aperitif or with fruit-based deserts. This is just delicious."
